Apply for a scholarship
Complete the Access and Equity Scholarship section if your circumstances affect your ability to attend.
Pay the fee and submit
A non-refundable $70 application fee; you’ll receive a confirmation email.
Your application is reviewed
The NYSF Selection Panel reviews all applications; outcomes advised in August 2026.
If successful, accept your place
The 2027 program fee is $3,180, invoiced on acceptance and due October 2026.

Why do you want to attend the NYSF Year 12 Program?
Academic record
Comment on your recent results: subjects, usual grades, and any extenuating circumstances we should be mindful of. NYSF encourages a broad range of participants from diverse academic backgrounds.
Your future plans
What are your plans for after Year 12? Further education, a gap year, work, or something else? If you’re not sure yet, that’s okay; just write about your current intentions.
Extracurricular activities
Outline activities you take part in outside school. If work or other commitments such as caring responsibilities limit these, tell us here.
Value of attendance

School report
Upload your most recent school report. If you haven’t received a Year 11 report yet, upload your most recent Year 10 report; don’t wait.
Your STEM areas of interest
This helps shape the overall program. You won’t be grouped by these interests; everyone explores a wide range of STEM fields.
Session preference
In 2027 the program runs in Canberra (6–14 January) and Brisbane (13–21 January). Tell us your preference; we do our best, though capacity means it’s not always possible. Travel to and from the program is the participant’s responsibility.
Financial support
Never let cost decide
Access and Equity Scholarships are funded by NYSF partners and the NYSF community to support students whose circumstances affect their ability to attend.
We also encourage students to seek support from NYSF’s founding partner, Rotary. Many Rotary clubs are familiar with NYSF and can offer funding or help students fundraise to attend. Details on accessing assistance are sent to all applicants at key stages.
