Find your fit
Curious about science, technology, engineering, maths and more, but not sure where it leads? NYSF is where you find out, up close, alongside people already working in the field and students who think like you.
- National, residential Year 12 Program
- State-based, non-residential STEM Hubs
- Early-career conference
- National network of alumni

How to support your child
You don’t need a science background to help your teenager take this step. The most valuable thing you can do is encourage them, help them meet the deadline, and reassure them that cost won’t stand in the way.
NYSF is fully supervised by trained staff and volunteers, with a wellbeing program running alongside the science. For most families, the hardest part is simply deciding to apply; everything after that, we help with.
- No science background needed from you
- Trained staff and a full wellbeing program
- Scholarships for families who need them
- Guidance on travel and what to pack

How to help your students
Teachers are how most students first hear about NYSF, and yours is a relationship we value immensely. We provide you with everything we can to make spreading the word as easy as possible: recommend a curious student, promote NYSF with ready-made materials, or join our mailing list so you never miss an application window.
- Ready-made posters and assembly slides
- 40+ years of experience running STEM programs
- Genuine benefit beyond the curriculum
- Selection on curiosity, not just marks

How to stay involved
NYSF doesn’t end when the programs do. Thousands of alumni stay involved: mentoring current students, speaking at events, stepping up through the Student Staff Leadership Program, growing the network, and sharing their stories through our alumni submission form.
- Lifelong friendships and contacts
- Early news on events and roles
- Mentoring and speaking opportunities
- A platform to give back and lead
